Tamiya announce VZ chassis

At this years All Japan Hobby Show Tamiya have announced a very exciting new the VZ chassis.

The VZ chassis is the successor to the very successful VS chassis that dominated the Japan Cup before the MS Flex system won in 2016. With the same wheel base as the VS chassis, and a similar transmission we are expecting the VZ to be a very capable machine.

The biggest changes come in the mount options for bumpers and stays. It has 4 mounting points on each side which give plenty of options for mass dampers, but the biggest change is the front mounting points. The front has plenty of mounting points which solves the biggest issue with the VS chassis, and on top of that the front bumper is removable meaning a bumper less setup will be possible without cutting or drilling the chassis.

We are expecting the VZ to dominate the Tuned class on it’s release in Spring 2020! For more information see Tamiya’s posts on Twitter.
