Neo-VQS based Advanced Pack announced

It’s no secret I’m a VQS/VZ chassis fan boy, and a huge fan of the Tamiya Mini 4WD Starter Packs.

Tamiya have now announced the first kit of the next tier of their packs with the Neo-VQS Advanced pack (#95598). This time the kit includes more FRP parts for a set up more a kin to how we would set up our machines for a tuned race, however, the kit is supplied with a Light Dash motor instead of a tuned motor positioning it as a first step for newer racers to enter open class.

Like with the Balanced Spec Starter Pack, the body is moulded in translucent smoke abs, giving it the feel of a Black Special, and includes translucent yellow “A” parts.

Low-Friction Plastic Roller Set 
Super Hard Tires 
High-Speed EX Counter Gear Set 
Side Mass Damper Set 
FRP Rear Brake set 
1.4mm Hollow Propeller Shaft 
Front & Rear FRP Plates 

Fellow racers agree that just adding 13mm aluminium rollers to the front and swapping out the motor for a Torque Tuned 2 will give you a fantastic base for your Tuned Class entry.

I’m very much looking forward to getting my hands on this kit and comparing the performance with my own Tuned Class VZ-chassis.
